In Adobe Bridge at one time I would get an error message when I tried to play with my *.RAW or *.CR2 file, that would read: “Camera Raw editing is not enabled. Camera Raw editing requires that a qualifying product has been launched at least once to enable this feature”.
What I was doing when this happened was trying to go Reset the Camera Raw Defaults (return the image to what it was when I took it in the camera). When I was searching for the solution to this error, I came across people who were complaining it would happen when they right clicked and selected to open a raw file in Camera Raw.
So, the solution that worked for me was:
You must have a full edition – Cracked or legal, this should work.
1. In your Adobe Photoshop Folder, find the amtlib.dll file. Copy this file (maybe paste it onto your desktop for quick access).
(Find the amtlib.dll file in all extension folders. ie. Bridge, Extension manager, or whatever.)
2. Copy a backup or rename them to something like amtlib_bckp.dll.
3. Paste the .dll file as described in step 1. in all the extension folders.
(Note: If this doesn’t work, delete “artificial” .dll files. Don’t delete the original file. Replace or rename the original .dll files back to the original names and return them into their original folders. )
This worked for me, and I hope it works for you!

I have Bridge CC 6.1 and PS CC 2014 and by doing as described, Bridge doesn’t open at all. It says it can’t find AMTRecordCodecInvocation in the amtlib.dll. Neither the option “browse in bridge” from Photoshop (along with using the “artificial” .dll file) does work, nothing just happens. Any hints? I have already reinstalled Bridge, now should I reinstall PS?
DArt, I suspect that you have a much newer version of Bridge and PS and the licensing works in an entirely different manner. I would have to dig into your computer further to be able to help you with this I’m afraid.

Walter, I can only suggest that you make sure both programs are at the same level: ie. Photoshop 4 and Bridge 4.
I have also found that on newer versions of both, of all Adobe suites, they have different licensing techniques and suspect that this won’t work at all.
